Do not do the tweaks until your "default" setting is fully functional and you can surf.
This tweak may not work for your particular model of Blackberry or laptop.
Start ... Connect to ... Show all connections ... Right click "Blackberry
Telus" Dial-up icon ...
Properties ... make sure the "standard modem" is selected ... click the
"Configure" button ...
change the speed to 460800, enable hardware flow control ... enable modem error
control ...
enable modem compression.
